Automated Bi-Fold Gate Installation

Bi-folding gates provide the perfect solution for security in confined locations, or where speed of opening is important.

The Bi-folding gates design incorporates two mechanically connected leaves per side, which swing open together, providing a greater speed of operation than that of other automated gate systems.

The dual gate leaf system allows these bi-folding gates to be installed in locations which would rule out the installation of conventional gates. They are engineered to allow bolt down fixing to suitable concrete pads, and are compatible with all current access control systems.

Our customer’s old gate had been hit. The gate had been forced open and the motors that were controlling the gate had completely gone. Of course, this was a huge issue for site as the gates were broken and non operational – risking their health & safety and security. Control Panel Operated Gate

The chosen gate, similar to our customer’s old gate is a D6500 Automated Double Sided Bi-Folding Gate 9.7m span (back of post to
back of post) by up to 2.64m height.

The control panel is used to operate the gate, with full safety system to BS EN 12453 to include twin photocells, cat3 safety edges, emergency stop button and a flashing beacon.

A Dual Channel loop card has also been installed. This allows the gates to open automatically when traffic is leaving the site. This saves time in man hours and keeps the sites security tight.
